To use the recovery console first insert the Windows XP into CD-ROM drive and restart the computer. If it is asked to start the computer from CD-ROM follow the steps accordingly. When you see the blue screen saying ‘welcome to setup’, press R to start the recovery console. If you are using a multiple boot computer then select the installation you are able to access from the recovery console. If you are prompted to enter the administrator password, fill the password, otherwise press enter. Next you see a screen of command prompt, type the appropriate commands to identify the errors and repair the windows XP installation. If you need a list of commands of Recovery Console, type recovery console commands or type help in the command prompt and press enter.
Another important concern regarding the windows is windows registry repair. It helps in fast and smooth working of a computer. Manually editing the windows registry for your computer is risky task as any mistake in doing it manually will results in loss of data of your computer.
