Great Kids Decor

Are you about to embark upon a change of design for your child's bedroom? There are so many amazing options available that it pays to take your time and consider everything carefully. You don't want to redesign the whole space as soon as your child grows out of their latest obsession so avoid this common mistake by using a neutral backdrop with features that can be changed. So, add a striking kids wallpaper mural to one feature wall and paint the rest white. Another great tip is to use removable vinyl wall transfers which can be changed when they grow out of them. Add a special rug on top of neutral carpet or floorboards, add an accessory or two and you will have a vibrant space which can be updated cheaply and easily in a couple of years time.
Remember to provide lots of stimulus and things to play with. Children love to have a den to play in so why not add a small hidey hole based on the same theme - so a rocket for a space-mad kid, a castle for a wannabe princess. Try to work educational toys into the design to really get your child's brain going too.
Secondly, choose a theme that will fire your child's imagination. Whether they love princesses, horses, spaceships or animals there are a great variety of products available to choose from. Personally I think the stereotypical pink/blue bedrooms for girls and boys leave a lot to be desired when you consider the really striking designs that can be created with a little more effort. For instance, why not choose one wall and really go for it!
Create a dramatic effect with one large wallpaper mural be it a space rocket or a beautiful white horse it will be a focal point of the design of the whole room and you kids will love you for it.
